A year at our school

Sport and Carnivals at Our School
Sport plays a key role at our school, with students enjoying swimming, athletics and cross country carnivals. We compete in interschool sports, participate in gala days and join visiting clinics, building teamwork, confidence and school spirit while having fun and staying active.

Engaging Learning Through Incursions
At Cowan PS, we use engaging experiences like incursions to bring learning to life. Recently, students watched a Brainstorm Productions theatre performance, endorsed by the eSafety Commissioner, covering values, respect, online safety and teamwork.

Teachers reinforced these themes in class, linking them to our focus on kindness, inclusion and respect. Together, we’re building a safe, supportive community where every student belongs.

"When my family and I first considered Cowan Public School, I admit I was hesitant.

Like many, I held a preconceived notion that a smaller school, might be lacking in resources or opportunities. However, I can now say, with absolute certainty, that my initial assumptions were completely wrong.
